About Me

Budding poet, aspiring scientist, writers-block fighter.

My name is Naomi and I am currently a senior at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School. I was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and raised in Harlem. My heritage is a huge part of my identity as I visit Ethiopia almost every summer. Writing has always been an outlet for whenever I need to unleash my thoughts onto paper or form them into a poem. Aside from writing, I enjoy spending time drawing, reading, and playing the viola. I also love being surrounded by nature, especially the water as it is the place where I feel the harmony of the Earth. This is my first year at Girl's Write Now. I joined this program in order to expand my horizons as a writer by learning from my mentor and from my fellow mentees.
